Me, right now. |
So, yeah, that’s about it. No posting, barely reading, wondering what to do with myself. My concentration is 0%. The girl is doing her own thing. She starts school in a few weeks and I’m trying to come up with a plan for myself when she does. I do this every year but I swear this year it’s worse.
I did finish a book. Yay! It took me forever but I won’t be able to post a review until October. So more radio silence.
What do you do when (if) you get this way? Take up kick boxing? Get wasted? Give me a few suggestions.
Haha. I just go with it. My blogging and reading has been in fits and starts lately.
ReplyDeleteYea, I think it will be like this until the fall.
DeleteI really needed to see that today. We've been packing for a vacation at our house and it seems like everything else has just gone crazy on top of that. The Huz had to get his wisdom teeth out, the ATM ate my debit card, you name it and it's happened this week. Madness! I usually just try to make some lists of stuff I have to get done so I feel like I have a tiny ounce of control over things.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the opposite problem to what I'm going through.
DeleteI'm with you on the lack of concentration and wish I had an answer for you.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least I'm not alone.
DeleteThat pic make me laugh! I think we all have days - or weeks - or months - that feel like that. I say do whatever you have to do to get yourself through to more normal days. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope they come soon.
DeleteWhen this happens to me, I give in. I take a day, a weekend, a week (whatever) to just be a noodle. I find a cozy spot, ply myself with healthy but indulgent snacky foods, line up the books or trash TV on the DVR and just wallow. I get it all of out my system and then oddly enough, reach for my calendar to update it. I find that when my calendar is not up to date, I tend to fall apart just a little bit.
ReplyDeleteWallow. That's what I should do.
DeleteI think you should get wasted AND take up kick boxing, and then do a vlog. I bet it'd be quite entertaining.
ReplyDelete;-p
Ha! Only if you do it with me.
DeleteGetting wasted sounds like a good plan. :p I don't know, maybe watch a movie? I usually just start making my way through the TBR pile and toss books that lose my attention for longer than five seconds. Harsh but it works!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nicole, just go with it. Accept it's happening and fill your time with other things, don't allow yourself to feel guilty. Maybe you just needed a break, and the best thing to do is just roll with it.
ReplyDeleteMy reading has been fits and starts all year... I do want to take up kick-boxing though! It's on my to-do list. :)
