Do your reading habits change in the Spring? Do you read gardening books? Even if you don’t have a garden? More light fiction than during the Winter? Less? Travel books? Light paperbacks you can stick in a knapsack?
Or do you pretty much read the same kinds of things in the Spring as you do the rest of the year?
Spring has really just begun here. As you can see from the picture above, the grass is just beginning to green and the leaves aren't out on the trees. I'm actually surprised that it's as nice as it is for April. The days have been sunny. It's so nice to feel the sun on my face after this winter. The pack ice is in the harbour but luckily the wind hasn't been blowing much so the air temperature is mild.
As you can see from my blog, I haven't been reading as much as I was in winter. I've been taking walks and cleaning up my yard. We've also been doing a few things to our house in the past few weeks. Spring fever, I guess.
How about you?
Great picture! I wish we had Spring here. It looks really beautiful. ^_^
ReplyDeleteI haven't been reading as much but I am not much of a gardener. Just enjoying the nice weather. I will be enjoying some lighter reads though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog- I thought I would come and take a peek at yours! That's a really lovely picture- we keep getting sunny spells here but then the rain starts again! Happy BTT!
ReplyDeleteIt's been springy here all winter, and I'm actually a little bummed that we didn't get more cold. Sick, I know. lol
ReplyDeleteI'm having a hard time getting into anything very heavy or substantial. I guess I can blame it on the spring!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday and nice picture. I wish I had thought to take a picture of my roses. Oh, well.. I'm sure they'll show up on the blog soon enough :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat picture, I'm so glad it's warming up and you're able to be outside, enjoying the nice weather. It's already very spring-like where I live, yesterday it got up to 86º!
ReplyDeleteI don't think my reading changes much either, I just read whatever, whenever it strikes me :)
Happy Reading!
Perhaps there's a correlation, but it seems as if blogging has quieted down with the spring as well.
ReplyDeleteYou know, John, I was thinking the same thing. My daily readers dropped to half. That could be less people looking for 'homework help' as well, since university is wrapping up.
ReplyDeleteI thought I had B.O. or something.
That is a lovely picture! This year was unusual in that I read less in the winter than I'm reading now -
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that too... Less reading online, but also fewer pent up ideas to write about.
ReplyDeleteThe picture is truly lovely. I'm a sucker for paths that don't tell me where they lead!
My balcony garden is in bloom now and the herbs are growing. Happy BTT.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture Christina. I forget the rest of the world isn't on the same spring "clock" as us. Our trees bloomed back in March. Now our trees are trying to survive the spring storms.
ReplyDeleteNice pic! Wish we've four seasons here!! Weather definitely doesn't affect my reading, it's more of my moods. ;)
