Booking Through Thursday
All other things (like price and storage space) being equal, given a choice in a perfect world, would you rather have paperbacks in your library? Or hardcovers? And why?
Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!
Hmm. I don't think I have a preference. I could squeeze more books in with paperbacks, but space doesn't count for this question. Paperbacks are easy to carry around, especially in a purse. Hardcovers look so pretty though. Hardcovers. I'm going with that. Form not function today.
I have the same thoughts. I'm sure most of us have the same answers anyway! ;P
ReplyDeleteHardcovers for durability and the way it looks on the shelf, but on the other hand I do like the feel of some of the paperback covers. Something about the way I can bend it back without damaging the spine...just feels nice, but maybe I'm weird like that. It's easier to curl up with one of those for me.
ReplyDeleteI like hardback covers more than paperback ones. They are just prettier.
ReplyDeleteI too think the same way!

My library has a mix of both and I've found that I grab for the paperbacks because they're easier to handle. But, they get very, very grubby.
ReplyDeleteI chose hardcovers too although I still like my paperbacks... and my many stacks of said paperbacks!
ReplyDeletePaperbacks can be pretty too...I have some I'm very attached to.
ReplyDeleteI had to go with function over form for this one. Well...almost.
ReplyDeleteI never knew about the signature website, I'm definitely checking that one out!
ReplyDeleteEtsy can be extremely addicting!
I have mostly hardbacks but I don't really have a preference. Happy BTT.
ReplyDeleteHardcovers certainly have the advantage of looking great on a shelf. Not to mention they are much sturdier than their paperback cousins.
