- Unless (Carol Shields)
- My Antonia (Willa Cather)
I've come up with 4 for now. We'll see if something else catches my eye.

Yeah! I love it that you are joining up!! I thought about putting in Lolita, but I'm still only 1/2 through Moll Flanders. And STRUGGLING with it!!
ReplyDeleteI was going to put in My Antonia, but I wasn't sure if I had to read the other 2 first. Isn't it supposed to be a trilogy? And I added O' Pioneers because YOU liked it so much!
I haven't read any of those 4 books yet, but good luck doing the challenge.
ReplyDeleteYou might like the Book & Reading Forums.
A trilogy? I hadn't heard that. I hope you like O Pioneers. Alexandra is such a strong woman.
ReplyDeleteWell....when I was looking up books in Wikipedia (I was trying to find dates published....doesn't mean it's right), it said that My Antonia was the final book in the "Prairie Trilogy" with O'Pioneers and The Song of the Lark.
ReplyDeleteYou know mean...I'm totally anal about reading things in order. So I switched from My Antonia to O'Pioneers! It probably doesn't make a difference though. And I hadn't even HEARD of The Song of the Lark!
My book club read Lolita some months ago. It is written well, but beware, it is definitely disturbing.
ReplyDeleteKapachino- Yeah, a few club members opted out of Lolita b/c of the subject matter. I'm going to give it a try though.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, I've read Oryx and Crake. A bit weird ( a lot weird) kind of dark and disturbing too, but overall a good book.
ReplyDeletei came here via the SRT links. (i'm also participating.) your blog looks fabulous, so i'll definitely be back!
ReplyDeletehappy reading!
Lolita & Oryx and Crake are sitting somewhere on my TBR shelves. I look forward to reading your thoughts on them!
ReplyDeleteGreat list, I have't heard any of those books. I'm looking forward to your reviews! Happy Reading! =)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to stop by and thank you for joining in the challenge! Enjoy your reading!
ReplyDeleteMy Antonia is one of my all-time favorite books. I have Lolita and Oryx and Crake, but haven't read them. So far, I've bombed on Lolita. It may be a little too ick for me. Will look forward to seeing what you have to say about all of those books.
ReplyDeletegood luck on your challenge!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Good luck with the Spring Reading Challenge!
ReplyDeleteI recently reread Oryx and Crake--it's definitely worth reading but a very odd book.
ReplyDeleteI loved My Antonia when I read it--I think I should revisit that one some time.
Happy reading!

Great list.... happy reading! I'll have to look some of these authors up.
ReplyDeleteI just saw a biography segment on PBS about Willa Cather and now want to read one of her novels. Your comments only fuel the fire!
ReplyDeleteLisa- I think I saw the same bio last year. It really made me want to read her work.
ReplyDeleteLOVE My Antonia! Hope you do too!
