This Just In…

Good news, everyone! I will be going back to work. I just found out and I’m rushing around getting all my ducks (my kid, and husband) in a row. I’m looking forward to it because Money, but it’s going to slow down my blogging. Just as I was getting back into the blogging mood. I hope once I get into a routine that I’ll get back to a normal reading and blogging schedule. I have so many books I want to read.

Speaking of books…

Here’s a couple that came in the mail last week.

I actually finished Lena Finkle’s Magic Barrel today. I’ll get a review of that up soon. Horrorstor looks so fun! It’s so cleverly designed. I’ve also downloaded an audiobook of 2am at the Cat’s Pajamas.

If you’d like to read a review from me, check out The Project Gutenberg Project where I reviewed Le Petit Nord. There is a twist in this review. I got fooled!

Stay tuned for reviews!

  3. Congrats! Work does tend to get in the way of blogging, alas...

  5. Horrorstor looks so gooood! I keep seeing it around and thinking, "God, I want to browse flat-pack furniture in that", but as far as I've seen no one's really REVIEWED it yet. So... get on that.

Congratulations on the job too! Hooray for income! I'm in the middle of job hunting myself and wondering how reading/blogging are going to find their place when I'm back in work (like, real work, not sitting on my bookstore counter playing on the Internet, because that's GREAT for reading and blogging). OH, BEING A GROWN UP.

    1. I haven't seen reviews yet either. Maybe people are waiting to post them. I've been looking forward to it since April.

Other people seem to manage the work/blog thing so it's not impossible. We can do it!

  6. Congratulations!! I actually was just offered a job myself and will be returning to work in a couple of weeks. I am going to see what I can do about scheduling a bit ahead. I have a feeling it will be a crazy schedule trying to start work and get the kids back in school around the same time (i.e., getting all my ducks in a row). Good luck getting all your ducks in a row too!!

BTW, I am so intrigued by Horrorstor!!

  7. Yay job!!! Good luck with the transition - I just started a new job and fortunately I'm really being eased into it. I feel like I have so much more time these days because I went from a two hour a day commute to working at home. It's so different!

Horrorstor looks so interesting. I love that Quirk takes such risks with format and story. Sometimes it plays out and sometimes it doesn't, so I'm really interested to see how it turns out!
