Lazy Sunday Thoughts: Getting My Groove Back

It's hard to have a book blog when you're not reading. What do you do with an empty book blog (♪ early in the morning ♫)? But ahoy! I have finished a book and I’m on my way through another one. Woot! I might even have reviews next week.

I threw caution to the wind and gave Bossypants by Tina Fey another listen. I enjoyed it the first time and found myself laughing until I cried once again. For a moment I wondered if I should with so many unread books around but it was a nice pick me up. It falls into my plan of reading whatever I want, when I want.

A book I have for review is Crochet One-Skein Wonders, so though I might be crocheting more, at least it’s for the blog. This photo is the beginning of my Project #2, Peacock Hat.

Another bookish project I’m participating in is Estellagram. The first three days of March’s challenge produced this:

Estellagram 1

Day 1: Bookshelves, Day 2: TBR, and Day 3: Unread.

It’s challenging to find different ways of taking photos of books. I’ll have to use my imagination for something interesting.

That’s all the news from me. Now back to reading!

  1. I'm doing the challenge too - your photos are much more creative than mine, but, so far, I'm having fun with it.

  2. Did you make that collage via Instagram? I'm new to it and barely have any idea how to use it.

    1. It's an app called PhotoFrame. There are tons of free photo apps. I have quite a few now.

  3. What app do you use to get the bubble effect?

  4. I cannot wait to see what your hat looks like when you finish it. The top looks so pretty and I love the color.

I've thoroughly been enjoying everyone's pictures of books. Heck, I just love seeing everyone's pictures.

Glad to see you've gotten some of your mojo back!

  5. If a re-read gets you back into reading the other books can wait, because they surely would have had to anyway :) Love the crochet so far!

  6. I'm participating in EstellaGram too and so far (yeah, three days in), it's been fun, but as with all of these, it can be a challenge at times. As for rereads, Bossypants is a great one to reread or relisten (especially with Fey). I loved it the first time around myself and might have to give it a relisten.

  7. I chuckled over your first few sentences. Very true. Without the reading part, it's sort of hard to have a book blog, isn't it? I have 4 books read but don't feel like writing about them at the moment. Hoping that changes within a day or so.

  9. Reading whatever you want, whenever you want...I love that. It's my plan this year as well. It's not that I'm not accepting review books but I only read the ones I really want to :)

  10. We all need a break sometimes, even from reading :)
