Friday Bookish Buzz: Mid-February Buzz

Okay, so large meteorites are falling from the sky? Let’s hope that isn’t part of a trend. For now, let’s just read the book news.

*Ever wonder about those ____’s Daughter/Wife titles? So did Shana Mlawski.

*She’s back! Just when you thought it was safe to return to Eel Marsh House, someone writes a sequel to The Woman in Black.

*Alaskan student helps rebuild a library in Polynesia.

*Margaret Atwood joins the Giller jury.

*I’m just going to leave this link to a story about Terry Deary and libraries here without comment. (Because I have so may swears.)

*The New York Times discovers Goodreads.

*Science: Bumming Us Out or Set Your Expectations for Love Way Low. Take that Nicholas Sparks!

*Etsy Love: Wear Oscar Wilde on your shirt with this T-shirt from The Mighty Squirm.

Have a great weekend!

  4. I didn't know there was a sequel to Woman In Black, thanks for the link, Chris. Even more, that Susan Hill supports someone else writing the sequel. That's unusual. Since I really like The Woman in Black and she does support the sequel, I will check it out when it's done.

You would think a writer would support libraries, at least I do.....seriously, shaking my head at Terry and the article.
