The days are definitely shorter and there is a feeling that fall is not too far away. I’m trying to do all the summer things before it’s here. So with that brief intro, here are the links for the week. Enjoy!
*So, Oscar Wilde edited a women’s magazine. Good to know.
*Random House Canada launches Hazlitt, an online magazine.
*Canadians borrow a lot of ebooks from the library.
*Also in Canada (we’re busy this week!), the Space Channel orders the series Bitten based on Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Underworld series.
*Ray Bradbury goes to Mars. Sort of.
*Someone wants to burn copies of 50 Shades of Grey.
*Etsy Love: Pretty glass pendant Louisa May Alcott quote from Petals of Grace.
I'm not sure I'm down with book burning, no matter what the cause.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hadn't heard about the series based on Kelley Armstrong's books. I hope we get it!
ReplyDeleteI'm with softdrink, especially considering all the thoughts nowadays about banned books (there's a book blogger challenge for those I think?) The problem with censoring 50 Shades is that although I can see the charity's POV, the whole other side being that the book is bringing female sexuality into the spotlight is too important to start saying we should ban it.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard about Armstrong's books becoming a series... Interesting... I love that series, but, well, worried...
