The Friday Bookish Buzz Haz the Cute

funny pictures - Adopt Me, Maybe?

Isn’t that cute?! I’d adopt him. I thought some cute puppies might help keep your minds off of all the people-biting going on in the world. I like the play on Carly Rae Jepsen song Call Me, Maybe. Did you know there is a book in her video?

Onto some book news.

*Stephen King says, “No ebook for you!”

*The Great Gatsby movie? Oh, that old thing.

*Gird your loins, people, the Devil Wears Prada is returning.

*Well, this is just sneaky: UK library emptied at night. What would Mark Twain say?

*Libris Nomination shortlist is announced.Daphne-du-Maurier-button_re

*Daphne du Maurier Season at Historical Tapestry, June 1-30. My review of Frenchman’s Creek will be up on June 6th.

*Check out my review of The Window at the White Cat by Mary Roberts Rinehart over at Project Gutenberg Project.

*Etsy Love: Dreamy print, I’m an Open Book, by Late Night Drawing.

Finally, get those handkerchiefs out because Anne Hathaway is going to make you cry.

Safe travels to all who are headed to New York this weekend. If you are doing Armchair BEA instead, see you here (and around) next week!

  6. Using that song for animal adoption is a good idea especially as it's everywhere right now. Only just heard of the Les Mis movie, it's harder to plan to watch the theatre production than read a book first!
