You don't want to know what these 3 will do if you don't join the Readathon.
It's scary. Join us!
I saw that photo this morning and just had to use it somehow.
Psst. I’ll probably update this post as the day progresses.
The Read-a-thon is here! I’ll be starting late since I have to be somewhere this morning but I wanted to get this up before I left. Hopefully I will be back soon so I can play too. I don’t want to make those ladies up there angry.
1)Where are you reading from today? Beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Specifically my couch.2)Three random facts about me… 1. I can’t go anywhere without my watch, 2. I do not like looking at other people’s naked feet, 3. I am getting over a cold.3)How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours? I have seven books, including an audiobook and a graphic novel.4)Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)? No goals. No plans. That’s the way I roll.5)If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time? Don’t worry about the number of books or pages you read. You will not be graded.
Updates below the fold…
It was a late start but…
I’m on page 50 of Cheerful Weather for the Wedding. I get the feeling there will be shenanigans.
So far I’ve eaten pancakes and coffee. I haven’t visited anyone yet (must do that). I’ve spent my reading time outside. It’s beautiful out!
Yay! Finished one book: Cheerful Weather for the Wedding. Not sure what to think of it yet. I’m going to listen to my audiobook for awhile so I can get some stuff done.
And…. I did a mini-challenge! On The Wings of Books challenged participants to a photo/book title challenge. Here’s mine Madame Tussaud Arranged The ABC Murders In a Far Country. Pretty good, yes?
Some trouble getting my audiobook on my iPod. iTunes seems to hate me. I’m through Part 1 of The Black Tower by Louis Bayard. I did a few chores and made raspberry scones while listening to it. I also read a little of Garden Spells.
Midnight Book Girl wants us to do some Book Staging for her challenge, so here it is:
It’s the thirteenth hour, apparently, and things are going well. I’ve read non-stop since after supper. I’m well into Garden Spells. It’s really getting good. I put The Black Tower aside after I listened to it during a run.
It’s time to do the mid-readathon survey:
1) How are you doing? Sleepy? Are your eyes tired? Doing fine. Not tired at all yet.
2) What have you finished reading? I finished Cheerful Weather for a Wedding.
3) What is your favorite read so far? I’m really enjoying Garden Spells.
4) What about your favorite snacks? Well, I made some raspberry scones and they were really good!
5) Have you found any new blogs through the readathon? If so, give them some love! I don’t think I ever visited Midnight Book Girl who hosted the Book Staging challenge.
Thanks for all the visits!!
