There are many ladies present in this week's buzz, good sir. Must coincide with International Women's Day, I guess.
I'll be busy entertaining my girl next week, as it's March Break here. March is one of the worst months to have a week off in and nowhere to go. It's a gloomy wet month.
Anyway...
*New, old ways to scare the bejebus out of your kids before bed- 500 new fairytales found in Germany.
*A literary mixtape for Jane Eyre: do you have any suggestions?
*So... Charles Dickens had a fake book collection. Okay, then.
*What the Orange Prize means.
*It must be award season because the National Book Critics Circle gave out theirs and the CLA announced their shortlist for YA Book Award.
*Just a little bit of Margaret Atwood. It's Kindle though. :(
*Not sure why you'd care but Jonathan Franzen hates Twitter. *gasp in shock*
*Sexism? How about classism? Was Ethel Carnie Holdsworth neglected because of her class?
*Etsy Love: A little bit of scented love from Emily Bronte, a Lavender Sachet by Gardenmis.
Since it is March Break next week, I won't be doing the Bookish Buzz next Friday. Until next time then!
I jumped for joy when I found out earlier this week that Germany discovered MORE fairy tales. #WINNING
ReplyDeleteAlso, YOU made my night by the Jane Eyre mix. I really wish I was in high school again and could make/receive mixed music with my BFFs.
Weird about the Dickens books. Love the Orange Prize article. And, I hope you have a wonderful week, even if the weather isn't particularly right for taking a break.
