Ola Senors! (I took French not Spanish.) Welcome to my Bloggiesta To-Do list. If you don’t know what Bloggiesta is you can find out about it on Suey’s blog post. This is not the list of snacks (not yet), but the list of all that I plan on getting accomplished on Bloggiesta weekend.

I will be updating this post as I complete tasks or mini-challenges throughout the weekend. I’ll also be posting Mini-Challenge updates below this break. This is the first time I've used a "Read More" break on my blog!
Mini-Challenge #1: {Bloggiesta Mini-Challenge} What is Windows Live Writer and How Can it Help You? | The Reading Housewives of Indiana
For this challenge, I set up WLW and produced this blog post. I’m still playing around with it. Unlike a lot of people, I don’t mind Blogger’s interface. I’m used to it and don’t find it hard to use. I am liking that I can adjust photos and the Title Link plug-in is nice though. I’ll have to play around with it some more but so far so good.
Mini-Challenge #2: Bloggiesta Mini-Challenge: Get Noticed By Search Engines
April’s challenge was for improving SEO of blog posts. I learned a lot! Thanks, April. I picked my Born to Run review for this challenge. First, I found these keywords to add to the post “books on running.” I added these words “Other books on running I’ve reviewed” with a link to an older review of Run Like a Mother. Next, since I already linked to April’s review, I asked her to link to mine.
Mini-Challenge #3: Pinterest — Bloggiesta Mini-Challenge | Joy's Book Blog
Joy’s challenge was to learn about and join Pinterest. I’m already a Pinterest user but because of my template change I lost my Pin It button. I reinstalled that and pinned my post from yesterday. Plus I started following Joy.
Mini-Challenge #4: The Reading Fever: Bloggiesta Mini-Challenge: Sidebar Help...What do you REALLY Need?
Penelope encourages bloggers to clean up sidebars. I deleted a few things and moved some stuff around.

Hello fellow bloggiesta participant. Just dropping in to wish you luck with al the work :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGood luck! My list is long too. I've tried out Live Writer before and didn't see that it was better than my wordpress editor, but I will definitely have a look at the mini-challenge.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to like WLW. It's been very helpful for updating this post.
DeleteHave you updated to the new Blogger interface yet? I can't stand it, and don't see a way to switch back to the old one, so I might be finding something I can use to post without having to use it (I have a Mac so I can't use Live Writer).
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all your Bloggiesta to-do's!
Yes, I've been using it for quite awhile since I use "Blogger in Draft". It took getting used to but now I prefer it.
DeleteGood luck! I hope you get a lot accomplished!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLooks like you've already accomplished several items on your to-do list, way to go! Good luck with the rest. :) Happy Bloggiesta!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm getting there!

DeleteI like the new template! You've already done so much already. And I can't believe I don't have "back up blog" on list. It hasn't been that long, but still a great thing to remember to do!
ReplyDeleteYay bloggiesta!
It's a simple but important thing to do!
DeleteYou are doing awesome! I cant wait to dig in but need to run and do a few things up town. I have some bigger projects to tackle but so fat have done a few challenges... and commented and played on twitter ;)
ReplyDeleteI got a lot more done on Day 1 but once I have the family here it gets harder.
DeleteThanks for completing my challenge! I'm so happy it's a hit!
ReplyDeleteApril's post is a lifesaver!
Thanks for hosting!
DeleteI'm SO learning Windows Live Writer this weekend. I've begged my husband to show me how it works!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your list! Ole!
Good luck! I hope you get the hang of it.
DeleteThis is a pretty sweet idea - I think I will participate too. First I gotta translate my vague mental to-do list into specifics, though.

ReplyDeleteYou've been doing great with your to-do list! Way to go! I'm thinking I need to go over and check out the WLW post. The last time I used it I didn't really like it, but it looks like it's been updated. May have to see how it looks! Good luck and thanks for joining in Bloggiesta!
