That's okay, Kitty. We can share.
I've had a busy week here but I did manage to finish a book. I also have a secret (not really) project with some other book bloggers. Stay tuned. All will be revealed on February 14. Can you believe it's Valentine's Day next week? 2012 is flying by.
*This is an odd study: Not enough of nature in recent children's books?
*Boo!!! Penguin! I'm so disappointed in you. Penguin stops selling ebooks to libraries.
*But Yay!!! Random House you rock!!!! <3 <3 <3 Random House sells ebooks to libraries with NO RESTRICTIONS! Way to go!
*GetBookCover is a new service providing book covers for self-published books. There are some nice images there. Much better than the photoshopped slightly blue naked people covers I've seen.
*Chapters-Indigo will not sell Amazon published books in their stores.
*Who are the great literary frenemies?
*Something Fierce wins the 2012 Canada Reads. I've been busy this week so I haven't watched any of the contest yet. So I don't have an opinion right now.
*A film version of the Canadian classic Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town comes to the CBC February 12.
*Transforming books into fashion at the Book Lovers' Ball. Should be interesting.
*Etsy Love: Not feeling very Vaelntine-y? How about some Anti-Valentine Day gift tags from Miss Teacher Lady (to put on your Anti-Valentine Day gift?) with wisdom from Oscar Wilde.

Have a great weekend!
Those literary frenemies were a bit obscure. I need the Literary Frenemies for Dummies edition.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get the scoop on the secret project.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! This week was much too long for me.
That is really disappointing about Penguin. Yay for special projects!
ReplyDeleteLOL at the Penguin vs. Random House links. Need to read up on this more cause I missed it.
ReplyDeleteAw, what a sweet-looking kitty.
ReplyDeleteE-book controversies make my brain hurt. I *still* cannot understand why there are geographical restrictions on e-book sales. The library thing . . . no effect, here. It'll probably be a decade before my library starts buying e-books, at best.
