Silly human!
So, how was your week? February is flying by in a flash. Valentine's Day was here and gone already. Hopefully that will mean spring will get here quicker.
Here's a bit of book news to cap off your week.
*Franzen thinks Edith Wharton wasn't attractive enough? Zombie Edith needs to kick some ass.
*I don't care what anyone says, I love Sophie Kinsella.
*Amanda Knox gets a book deal.
*Good news! The library in Slave Lake, destroyed by fire, has reopened.
*Dirty letters from authors. Joyce's is really, really gross.
*The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, loves to read. Maybe The Uncommon Reader should have been about her.
*Counting the books: The National Reading Campaign.
*Etsy Love: Some Penguin(ish) Book Earrings from Coryographies.
Have a great weekend!
It is not so much wanting spring to get here, as hoping for a period in time where it is nice and it doesn't rain endlessly. I am starting to think we get a monsoon season now.
ReplyDeleteAgh! Joyce! What the what?! So the last thing I ever expected to read on a Friday night.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Franzen, yet, and this last few weeks he has so totally turned me off that I'm starting to doubt I ever will. Love Sophie Kinsella. Her books are rays of light.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - those love letters made me puke... Joyce will forever be a challenging author for me I guess.
ReplyDeleteSounds like Joyce and Nora covered all the bases!
ReplyDeleteI think Edith Wharton looked great and Jonathan Franzen is only so-so.
Oh my gosh Joyce! Eww.
