I hope to not fill this blog with my updates so I'll be using my Tumblr, Twitter, and Goodreads. I'm using Goodreads to update my Twitter feed. This is the first time I'm doing so. Hopefully it will work!
Now for the introduction meme:
2)Three random facts about me… a) I have 2 cats, b) I love spooky reads, I have a few for today c) I just started a yoga class. Maybe I'll use a few stretches later to keep awake.
3)How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours? There are 8.
4)Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)? Nope!
5)If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time? Pace yourself!
I just finished Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. It was okay. Kinda weird. I think I'll start Sucks to Be Me next.
Now I'm off to get coffee! Happy Reading!
Enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteI just started doing hot yoga. I might have to join you later in some of those stretches.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
ReplyDeleteWow, eight books is pretty ambitious! Enjoy the Read-A-Thon!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck in reaching your readathon goals!
ReplyDeleteGood luck today. I am also the water fairy to remind you to drink some water and to stay hydrated.
ReplyDeleteYoga sounds like a good idea. I did some cycling before the readathon started but now I've been sitting still for hours (with a bit of house work in between). Should get some more exercise myself.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
I hope you have a great time with the read-a-thon - I'm couldn't join in this time:(
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and enjoy curling up with books.
ReplyDeleteHave fun reading!! Sorry to be missing this
ReplyDeleteSpooky books are perfect for the October readathon - right ambiance and they really pull you through the book!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, yoga. I bet those moves WILL come in handy later in the day.
ReplyDeleteHope it's going great for you Christina! Congrats on Book #1
Rah Rah Sis Boom Bah.
Ooh you finished Brave New World. That's an ambitious first book. Sucks to Be Me sounds like a fun choice.
ReplyDelete1, 2, 3, 4
You can read a chapter more
5, 6, 7, 8
Your read-a-thon is going great
Cheering you on from #cheercookie!
I'm putting all my mini-challenges and updates in my original post, doing it hour by hour. You advice to "pace yourself" is good -- and very important. Happy reading today and always.
ReplyDeleteIt was such a nice day, too! The last of the nice weather before it starts getting cold likely... I hope you enjoyed your reading!
ReplyDeleteI started out with 8 books in my pile too... somehow that turned into 10 (honestly have no idea how that happened) and those 10 are actually 12, because one book is a collection of 3 plays. DOH!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Keep up the great work in the read-a-thon!
ReplyDeleteHappy readathon! I hope you're having fun reading :)
