Kitty knows you have to go out Trick or Treating in a month. He can wait. Tomorrow is the start of the spookiest month of the year. I can't wait to get my Halloween stuff out.
If you feel like reading all weekend (and I might, it's supposed to be stormy), join April and the gang for an Impromptu Readathon.
What else is happening?
*The Simpsons is quite literary.
*Just in time for banned book week: Russian priest wants books like Lolita banned in high schools. Obviously he couldn't have read it; everyone is miserable in that book.
*2012 Canada Reads will be different this year.
*Charlotte Bronte made tiny, tiny books.
*Pimp My Kindle: the Kindle Fire.
*Even wonder what happened to Danny from The Shining? Yes? So did his creator.
*Etsy Love: A very whimsical print from Majali Design & Illustration, The Reader. Not sure who her friend is but he's cute. Also a lot of the other art in this shop has a The Night Circus vibe.
Have a great reading weekend!
I had no idea there were so many literary references in the Simpsons. I'm looking forward to the Nov. 20th episode with Neil Gaiman. Also, in case I've never said it before, I love your Friday Bookish Buzz post! I always look forward to seeing the interesting links you've found.
ReplyDeleteThere's so much to explore. I can't wait to see how Canada Reads will be different this year. Hope you're having a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am so sick of rain! The lawn is supposed to die in August... Not need mowing in October! Hope you don't get washed away!
