It's Word On the Street in Canada this weekend, sadly I will not be attending. Things just didn't work out this year but I did have fun last year so I hope you attend if you can. I'll have to be better organized next year.
I'm half asleep this morning so let's get to it while I make the coffee.
What is up in the book world?
*20 classic books get a make-over.
*Working for Amazon doesn't sound very appealing.
*People are going to pay that kind of money for an ARC? I don't think so.
*Searching for a heart of gold. Neil Young to write memoirs.
*Banned Books Week starts September 24th.
*Bloggers more influential? (PS- Robert Downey Jr FTW!!)
*Etsy Love: These are a little creepy but appropriate for Halloween reading! Zombie Legs Bookmark from Honey Case: Sweet Jewels.
Have a good one!

I know. I never made Word on the Street last year and I don't think I am going to make it this year either. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI love the new classics covers, especially Franny and Zooey, Dubliners and The Witches.
ReplyDeleteI love the Penguin Threads covers. Not too hot on many others, except Franny and Zooey and The Raven.
ReplyDeleteThe discussion beneath that article about ebay sales of ARCs is interesting. I think it's bizarre that anyone would find ARCs "collectible" but I guess some people will try to sell anything.
I'm looking forward to Neil Young's memoir.
ReplyDeleteThose book marks are VERY creepy... but also very fitting for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteI like it when some classics get a makeover, giving it more shelf appeal. I don't know why someone would buy an ARC, but people will buy anything these days. So I'm not surprised.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the news update.
