That's my face. This week has been kind of meh. It's been hot and rainy, then cold and rainy. Just rainy, rainy, rainy.
I guess some people went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter. I did not. I haven't even seen all the DVDs yet. I think I got to the third one. I could never follow what was going on, which is a problem I have with fantasy. And reading the books would probably help. I have 2 cute little nieces who went out for Halloween as Dementors though. They are big fans.
Anyway what is going on in the bookish world?
*JK Rowling's childhood home up for sale.
*Someone buys Jane Austen's The Watsons for over $1 million. Too bad she never made that kind of money while she was living.
*Remember that couple with the huge book collection that was ruining the foundation of the house? Well, they're getting some help finding homes for those books.
*If you want to pitch your book, wait until August.
*YA hit The Luxe to hit the big screen. I must start reading this series soon.
*Book lovers get their headphones on and listen to books.
*A bookstore ON A BOAT!
*This news depresses me since Indigo has the only bookstore (new) in town: Indigo to sell fewer books, more junk.
*People are crazy for George RR Martin.
*Were you there? The final Harry Potter movie opened last night (midnight in some places). MTV wants your video reviews.
*Etsy Love: I've featured Janet Hill Studios before on Fridays but I couldn't resist showing this print "The English Major."
Speaking of Etsy, here's an Etsy made video of a hidden bookstore.

Hope you have a great weekend!

It is expected to be nice here this weekend, so hopefully that applies to you, too! I saw it was raining for the Metallica concert... When was that? Last night? Whenever that was.
ReplyDeleteSorry you had a meh week. Hope next week is better. That cat is hilarious. So grumpy-looking!
