Hello everybody! I admit I don't have a lot of links this week. My husband is on vacation and we've been doing a lot of work around the house. We're getting stuff done but I'm having trouble finishing books this week. I'm sneaking a page here and there.
Anyway here are a few interesting links. Enjoy!
*Someone is monkeying with The Great Gatsby and Roger Ebert isn't happy about it.
*Anne casts a spell on Kate.
*Another step toward world domination for Amazon after they buy Book Depository.
*Mills and Boon stress their books are "an enjoyable means of escaping everyday life, but not a guide to reality" Well, duh.
*This is the end...the end of the Harry Potter movies, my friend.
*Etsy Love: Proclaim your book nerdiness with this pendant from Book Fiend's shop.
Have a great weekend!

My goodness, amazon does seem headed for domination, don't they?! I remember when I could only buy books there, which I still do, but now my husband adds things like the official Swiss cycling jersey to my orders. Well, at least they offer things we can't get elsewhere! Happy weekend, Chris.
ReplyDeleteLOL I love that photo!
ReplyDeleteI was bummed to hear about the Amazon-Book Depository deal.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't very happy to hear about Amazon buying Book Depository. I hope it means good things, but probably not...
ReplyDeleteI am so sad about the Book Depository purchase. I'm actually hoping it falls through. They've already got a virtual monopoly on book sales, haven't they? It seems like it.
ReplyDeleteLove the kitty pic!
I'm not even a fan of Gatsby, but I have to agree with Ebert on this-- even though, as a child, I read condensed classics all the time.
