Darn cats, always ruining the endings of mysteries. They just can't keep a secret. Speaking of secrets, I have one (no I'm not pregnant, but I bet that's where your mind went). All will be revealed soon! I will say it's going to be a busy weekend at my house.
So what is up?
*A handy guide to Flapper vernacular. Useful for reading books of the time, I suppose. I would love to use some of these, especially 'kitten's ankles.'
*Life of Pi casting lands Tobey Macguire role as journalist.
*Cheaper Kindles will feature ads but this is not a new idea (spend the extra $25 though).
*Vatican book has some big boo-boos.
*Now you can have a peek at Thomas Hardy's house. I feel depressed just thinking about it.
*Just some 600 year old book, that's all.
*I found this Victorian Period game via Smart Bitches. Apparently reading Victorian novels has prepared me for Victorian life, I scored well. My daughter is not but she had more fun not following society's rules, if the hooting she did is any indication. Ain't that always the way. Love the Monty Pythonesque graphics.
*Etsy Love: I love this "i like big books" bookmark from Book Fiend. And in my favorite colour too.

A movie of Life of Pi? That's going to be very strange!!!
ReplyDeleteI took a little visit to Victorian times and I am the picture of politeness. Evidently, we should hang out and play the piano, or something.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they were making a movie version of Life of Pi. It seems to be quite a norm right now to make movies of books. There are a lot coming out in the next couple years.
ReplyDeleteI love the bookmark! And it's so inexpensive! Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteThe Victorian era quiz was cool! I didn't do as well, but I certainly had fun doing it.
