Friday Bookish Buzz: Giving a Royal Wave

I got up this morning to watch the wedding of William and Kate. I wasn't sure if I would but I was surprised to find myself excited for it. I even woke up my daughter to watch it. It was quite beautiful. I hope they'll be happy together. Now onto book news.

*Harper Lee. Still not talking.

*An uncensored Picture of Dorian Gray, but is it any good?

*This is just salacious reporting. A teacher writes romance under a pen name and that makes her unfit to teach?

*Want to knit the Royal Wedding? There's a book for that. (And a list of other British Royal books.)

*Fan of audiobooks? Join Jen for Audiobook Week in June.

*Etsy Love: Charms 4 You has a way for you to wear your favorite book. Here's The Age of Innocence.

And here's a little Oscar Wilde for you, or Jersey Shore re-imagined as a Wilde play. (There are several parts.)

Have a great weekend!

  1. How gorgeous was her dress! Wow! Kate looked so beautiful and they both looked so happy.

On a more serious note, I heard about the teacher/romance writer issue. How unfair! She should only be judged by what she does in the classroom. Period. It's no one's business what she does on her own time.

  2. Ole Harper...never a talker. I'm as fascinated with her and her lack of involvement in the media as anyone else. I think it's why I loved Kim Powers' book Capote in Kansas so very much.

And I'm looking forward to Audiobook Week!
