How was your first week of Daylight Savings? Hard to get used to? I know it was for me. Good thing it was March Break and I didn't have to get the girl up for school.
So what is going on in the book world?
*Not going to BEA? Join us once again for Armchair BEA in May.
*"I would prefer not to." I really need to read that story.
*Jennifer Lawrence will be Katniss Everdeen. Now who will be Peeta and Gale?
*31 Canadian authors tell us whether or not Canada is a good country for writers.
*Oh poor James Frey, no one is paying attention to him this week.
*Canadian authors vying for the Orange Prize.
*Eyresses, a journal for Jane Eyre Enthusiasts.
*Etsy Love: See who gets the Jane Eyre joke with this Bertha in the Attic pin from Bean Forest.
Have a great weekend!

I am ashamed that I of the 31 Canadian authors profiled in that piece, I've only read two of them and I've only heard of two or three more. *Bad expat Canadian*
ReplyDeleteThat story about the employee at The Strand is great, I think I'll need to check out Bartleby the Scrivener as well.
Have a great weekend!
Those are some wild and crazy whiskers on that cat:) too cute
ReplyDeleteThere's a film based off of that short story. It's fab.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love the pin. Tres clever.
Your round ups are great Chris.
I'll be joining the Armchair BEA! Can't make it to the real event this time either, though I hope to next time.
ReplyDelete*"I would prefer not to." That was so funny. Much different from the time I asked a Chapters employee where I could find 'A Tale of Two Cities.' I got the dreaded question, "Who's the author". LOL!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say that I'm going to the BEA this year. I found cheap airfare and my brother's best friend is sending me the keys to his apartment (he'll be out of town).
