Friday Bookish Buzz: Can Ya Dig?

funny dog pictures - it's 5 o'clock somwherez

I bet a lot of people are saying that after they've finished digging themselves out of the snow. Hot toddies everyone? The snow that fell here Wednesday was less than predicted. It was a regular old February storm. By Thursday afternoon, everyone was dug out and it was business as usual. Of course, storms don't keep us down for long anyway.

Besides the snow, what happened this week?

*Remember the disgruntled lady who was dumping condiments in the library drop off box? She plead guilty to the charges.

*Some creative library budget cut protest posters from Phil Bradley.

*Sad news for Canadian publishing: distributor Fenn is considering bankruptcy. Great books too. What will happen now?

*Trying to get a piece of that pie (chart) is difficult for women writers.

*Presenting Lenore is hosting Dystopian February.

*Canada Reads starts Monday, February 7th. Tune in and support your favorites.

*Ugh! Bedbugs they're everywhere, even the library.

*A list of feminist books for young adults comes apart in the comments. Controversy ensues.

*Etsy Love: "Read More Books" Good advice Iota Illustrations.

Have a good weekend! And if you have snow where you are get out your toboggan and enjoy it!

  1. Yep, I can dig. I have fun plans today (AFTER cleaning!) My reward is to meet a bookish friend for a beer, book talk, and iPad tips sharing. Happy Friday to you!

  2. I am sick of snow. :( We have so much and had to break down and get a plow after the last one because it was so crazy! I still have seen more snow, but I don't really need to see anymore!
