Friday Bookish Buzz: Bye-Bye-Bye February

funny pictures - So THAT'S a birthday suit?

Another birthday tomorrow. They aren't quite the same as when I was a kid with parties and all the hoopla. Now I think a night out with the husband would be nice. Or some quiet time with a book. February is nearly over too. I can't wait for March and maybe a few signs of spring.

Anyway here's a few bookish links.

*Cheer up authors! Negative reviews can be good for you! Think $$$$.

*Remember that when you seek a book blogger to review your book because they can help you sell it.

*Another YA book is being challenged. This time it's Scars by Cheryl Rainfield.

*The headline gave me a queasy stomach: Is Heidi Montag the Next Stephenie Meyer?

*I watched all 30 minutes of this Margaret Atwood presentation via Bella's Bookshelves because she was so entertaining.

*Andi is hosting an Affinity by Sarah Waters readalong.

*Canadian picked their favorites for the CBC Bookies.

*Lost Enid Blyton book found.

*Speaking of lost books... I'm so excited to see that a new collection of Daphne du Maurier's short stories, some considered lost, is being published!

*Etsy Love: These bookmarks from Violet Bella are so feminine. Lovely!

Have a great weekend!

  1. Ah, happy birthday! It's my husband's birthday tomorrow too. He's at the age that he doesn't know what to ask for, so the main present will be a cycling trip on tandem bicycles and out for dinner (with our 2 sons).

Hope you have a nice day tomorrow!

And thanks for the shout out. I hope the readalong goes over swimmingly. I dug into the book last night, and I really like it so far!

Great Book Buzz this week! I especially loved the articles on Negative Reviews, Book Bloggers helping to sell books, and of course, M.A. at TOC. Thanks for all the links.
