Lazy Sunday Thoughts: Snow!

This is what my Sunday morning looks like. My daughter woke me up at 7am because she wanted to go play in the snow. That's right, it snowed last night! I doubt it will last long but it's so pretty to wake up to. It's so quiet outside too with everyone still in bed. The cats aren't very impressed. I think they are glad to be indoor cats today.

My thanks to Jill who sent me Cold Comfort Farm this week. Isn't that cover something? Looking forward to reading it.

I've finally finished Villette by Charlotte Bronte. Don't know what to think of it yet. It was a big book and I'm glad to be done of it. I'm also reading The End of Overeating which has me looking at the restaurant industry in a whole new way.

In other news, I think I'm failing NaNoWriMo. Dudes, it's hard! And I miss reading. Wah!

So, people, I'm off to pour myself a cup of hot coffee and look at the snow. Later!

  1. What a great start to the Sunday! I'm not keen on snow but when it's first fallen it's so serene and quiet.

Cold Comfort Farm is a really fun book. Hope you'll enjoy it too.

    Happy Sunday!

  2. Wow, that's a lot of snow! Better to fall on Saturday night than Sunday night, I guess.

  3. I am so jealous of the snow! As a Floridian (born and raised) I'VE NEVER SEEN IT! A good friend of mine leaves in Illinois and so a couple of years back I went to visit her and her family and TO SEE SNOW. Unfortunately we were well below freezing (I woke up and the temperature was a flat 0 degrees). Can you believe it? No snow for me. I think I'm cursed. :)

  4. I can't believe you got snow! It's supposed to get in the 70's here today.

  5. We have a pile of snow here already but ours will be sticking around. It's pretty cold out. Have a great Sunday.

  6. Your sunday looks like a good sunday, very tempting pics :)

I can imagine that writing 50000 words in the space of a month is difficult, particularly when life keeps going on...

  7. NaNoWriMo is indeed tough ... but it looks like from your widget that you've been quite successful thus far with nearly 30,000 words. I only got as far as 18,000last year, so I understand the feeling of failing at NaNoWriMo. But, think of it as being nearly 30,000 words closer to your goal!
