I've been travelling around the book blogosphere this week commenting on various BBAW posts. It was exhausting but a lot of fun. I met new bloggers, added many to my Google Reader and books to my wish list. My blogging goals remain the same: work hard to improve my content and engage the readers of my blog. I'd also like to reach out to more people in the book world. What about you?

Now for the news in the book world. If you are new to my blog, every Friday I post links to interesting book related stories.

*Jimmy Fallon finds some weird books you should not read. Not sure what's more disturbing pantyhose crafts or that dating advice.

*The love letters of Oscar Wilde are discovered.

*Oprah will announce her next book pick but it might be the worst kept secret ever.

*Amazon tries to put the ipad in a headlock.

*Okay, so Obama wrote a children's book, but is it any good? Only the kids can say for sure.

*Pretty printable bookplates.

*What happens to literary characters when a series ends? The Frenemy hunts down the Babysitter Club girls.

*Etsy Love: Amen! "Abridged novels have no place on my bookshelf" and let the world know it with a pin from Beanforest.

That's it for this week. Next week things get back to normal and I have a bunch of new reviews. If you're new to my blog, how about adding me to your RSS feed reader (look way up there in the corner ;) ) so you can come back. Don't be a stranger!

  10. I am rather shocked that Oprah picked a Jonathan Franzen novel! I will likely read it at some point.
