I do enjoy a good audiobook but if I don't have something else to do my mind tends to wander. Idle hands are the devil's tools or make short work or whatever. I need a project or I go a little wacky.
The last couple of audiobooks resulted in these items.
During This Book Is Overdue! and Dracula I worked on this bucket hat. It was a pattern from Crochet Today. It had to be felted so it turned out huge at first. In the end, I was happy with the results.
I'll have to find a few more audiobooks for the projects I have planned for Christmas presents. That reminds me- I wrote a post last year about homemade Christmas gifts. If anyone is interested in looking at it for crafting ideas, now is the time.
Thanks for the christmas reminder! Last year I was very good and handmade all kinds of stuff but this year I think I might just make a new stocking for my son. I havent got the motivation for sewing at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I've recently become hooked on audiobooks as a way to indulge in more knitting projects... it's great, but I think I'm spending more money now on both the audiobooks and on the wool!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm impressed - I usually walk the dog or get chores done while I listen to books.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have to have something to keep me focused during audiobooks, too. Unfortunately, I am completely talentless when it comes to knitting or crocheting. My grandmother tried to reach me crochet, and I got through one three potholders before I started pulling my hair out and throwing things.
ReplyDeleteI admire you, and I LOVE THAT HAT!
Also meant to add that I adore youre pretty header. That script is luscious!
ReplyDeleteI love the hat! And thanks for the reminder that I need to get started on any Christmas projects.
ReplyDeleteI love your hat! So cute. I love audiobooks because of all the things I can get done while still 'reading' a book.
ReplyDeleteThe hat's ADORABLE! So cute! Are you giving it away or keeping it?
ReplyDeleteI haven't actually gotten around to sitting and listening. I tend to listen to my audiobooks in the car, at work, and while cleaning. Other than that, I tend to stick to print books or my e-reader.
Jessica- A stocking sounds great!
ReplyDeleteMarieke- That's why I borrow so much from the library.
Kathy- I do that too but sometimes I need to sit.
Andi- Thanks! And I got that font from dafont. I needed to make a small change to my blog.
Carol- Thanks! Good luck!
Kenpen- great way to miultitask.
Michelle- These are all mine, mine, mine. lol!
Oh I adore the hat!
