This pattern is Phannie from Berroco. It's free if you want to try it too. I used Red Heart Collage in Rust as my yarn. It's really soft and I loved how the colour variation turned out. When I finished it, I thought how appropriate it was for Catching Fire because of the flame colour of the yarn. So I'm calling it my Catching Fire Beret!
It's lovely - you need to post a picture of you wearing it or throwing it up in the air like Mary Tyler Moore.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Was it difficult? I'm still a beginner!
ReplyDeleteI love it! And I'm very impressed. I've only knit and crocheted kids hats; I don't know that I would have the patience to do an adult one. But it's gorgeous! I'm with Kathy. I would love to see a picture of you wearing it!

ReplyDeletePerfect! I'm very impressed. I just got the current "Crochet Today" after you got me started back on a crochet kick.
ReplyDeleteI can't sit still either, but I never thought of pulling out the crochet hook and yarn. Great idea and beautiful beret!
ReplyDeleteJulie- It really wasn't as long as you can crochet "in the round."
ReplyDeleteTexas Red- Love Crochet Today. Great patterns in it.
It's gorgeous! I taught myself to knit, but for some reason, I can't teach myself to crochet. I'll have to take a class at the LYS.
