Aw, chipmunk love! I picked that photo because it's my 11th wedding anniversary this weekend. It doesn't feel like 11 years. They just flew by. And it's Father's Day on Sunday. Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there!

Lots of controversy in the book world this week.

*Fartsalot writer booted out of Ottawa school. What bothers me the most is that the principal 'didn't have an opportunity to review the material in advance.'

*Penguin CEO accused of sexual harrassment.

*Adorable printable bookplates from Helen Dardik via How About Orange.

*Introducing the Pfleeber. hehehe.

*Sacrilege! Robert Pattnison just saw Twilight for the first time recently- on TV.

*Romeo, Juliet and Co. facebook status.

*Most bizarre story this week: Grandmother caught dumping mayo in library drop off box. What was she thinking?

*Spotlight Series tour for Graywolf Press sign-ups continue until June 30. Please join!

*Twitter: It's useful!

*Etsy Love: Something different, Citrus Plum Flower Power Book Earrings from Small Book Company's Shop. They have lots of earrings to choose from if those ones don't float your boat.

Have a good one!

  2. Great links! I love the printable bookplate. It's so beautiful.I can't believe the mayo-dumping grandma! Is she crazy? Just think about how many library books she's probably destroyed. Ugh.

  4. Happy anniversary! 11 years is impressive. The mayo grandma is funny, yet disturbing.

  5. Happy Anniversary!

Those book earrings are so cute. Granny looks just a wee bit scary. I'm curious as to the cause -- whether she had vandalistic intent, mistook the boxes for drop-offs or is just mentally off. Maybe dementia? I'd take that lady for a check-up, just in case.
