The trouble is I've lost my comments from the time I installed to when I took it out. Yeah, that was back in February. I'm going to add those comments to the posts, slowly, since I don't want to spend hours at a time copying and pasting. It sucks but I don't want to keep you guys out of those discussions. It was because I love discussions that I installed the damned thing to begin with. Unfortunately, the tags linking your profiles to the comments have been lost.
I want to thank all the people who put up with the kinks and the troubles and stuck it out with me. All the people who've been commenting, thanks and I hope you'll join in the future discussions. If you want to leave comments on old posts, please feel free!

Sorry you're having to go through all of that. It totally stinks!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me glad I never tried it. I hope all gets settled down for you soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing I am practically technologically illiterate, or I might have installed it too.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your experience. So frustrating!
I almost installed it but as I know nothing about technology I had been putting it off. I wish blogger would sort it out and allow you to respond to individual comments, they must have been asked about it.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you have to go through this! Hang in there and take it a little bit at a time.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you had to deal with that, Chris :\ I have to confess I'm glad you removed it, as I have trouble commenting on blogs that use it. Half the time the "submit" button simply won't work, so I can't post a comment I've already taken the time to write. So frustrating!
ReplyDeleteID definitely has issues. I'm taking it day by day...and for today, it's staying. Today's issue was with the CommentLuv plug-in; they actually addressed it promptly, and disabling the plug-in resolved the can't-comment problem. It may be something else tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteRe-entering all those comments into Blogger is one reason I'm keeping ID, to be honest. But I totally understand why you've cut the cord!
HA! The word verification for this comment? "worse"
Thanks guys!
ReplyDeleteFlorinda- lol! Yes, it could be worse.
Jessica- I do miss ID's reply feature. Blogger must know people want a new comment system. Just about everyone complains about it.
Nymeth- I'm sorry about that. That's one of the 'issues.'
Yeah this is why I will have to eventually move over to wordpress. Blogger comments often gave me problems as well. I just need to the time to make the switch. It's overdue anyway.
ReplyDeleteBummer. I hope the job isn't overwhelming. I'm like Lenore -- too computer muddled to bother with the fancy new gadgets. I guess it keeps us out of trouble.
ReplyDeleteID is definitely problematic. I've thought about reverting to regular comments a few times, but I always stick it out with ID for some reason. :P
ReplyDeleteSeems to me that the "intense debate" is whether or not ID is worth it. I have never had a comment into ID go smoothly and so now I avoid. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you had to go through this. Like many others, I am glad you removed it, because intense debate seems to have troubles for lots of people (including me) from time to time.
ReplyDeleteUgh .. I've been considering adding intense debate, but I'll forget it for now. So sorry you had to go through that crazy experience.
