So glad it's Friday. It's been a long, wet week. We're supposed to see the sun again. That would be so nice.

Anyway, it's been a busy book week. Here are some interesting links.

*Remember how Nicholas Sparks said his books were so unique? Well, here's some proof that they aren't.

*Want to impress strangers on a train? Sure you do. Here's how to make them think you're smart: 10 books to read.

*Coming to theatres near you in 3D! Life of Pi.

*Watch your grammar on Twitter or the Twitter Scolds will get you!

*Saturday is Free Comic Book Day. See you in the funny pages!

*Jessica Seinfeld still not a plagiarist.

* Amazon sneaks in your window and watches you while you sleep. Maybe not, but they are watching you read.

*Now Charlie Brown can buy a new shirt. $175 Million is a lot of moolah!

*If you're a "nice" female book blogger, you might be faking it. Or, I don't know, maybe you just like the books you're reading? Possibly? (I feel like doing a SNL "Really?" skit.) And then there's Liz B's take.

*Book Trailers get their own awards from Moby Lives.

*Etsy Love: For the Jane Austen lover, pretty pendants from Pretty Whimsical.

Happy Weekend Peoples!

  1. Couldn't stop laughing at the Sparks link. That guy is ridiculous. And her really needs to get a new person to design his movie posters.

The 10 books to read on trains is great too!

  3. The Sparks link was great!
I really enjoyed reading about both sides of the "nice" female book bloggers issue. (It was timely since I have been beaten up this week for a notorious blog post about a book I truly disliked - in 2007.)

  4. The Life of Pi movie producers seem to have special effects (which makes sense) mixed up with 3D (which does not make sense). I can't wait for Roger Ebert to tear them a new one. (He hates movies that use 3D just for the sake of using 3D)

  5. Avid- It's shocking to see them side by side. How can he not see that!

    Missy- Thanks!

Lori- You just got to do it your way.

John- That's right. As I was reading it, I thought it didn't make sense. Of course there not going to put a tiger in the boat with a kid. I think 3D is going too far. 3D TVs? Why?
