It's good to have a wonder. What are you wondering about this week? I'm wondering where the spring weather went. It left the island. Here's some things to wonder about this weekend.
*Need a new couch? Make one from old books. Doesn't look too comfy.
*Some cool old bookmobiles for National Bookmobile Day.
*Do you hate "alot" a lot? Maybe this cute creature will change your mind.
*Twilight on "most challenged" list of 2009.
*Speaking of Twilight...Wuthering Heights once again popular because of Twilight. The kids are in for a shock.
*Not cool, people. Not cool. Vandalism at the library.
*The Pulitzer Prize list We gots it.
*I'm a little scared for Kitty Kelley. Oprah's like Texas, you don't mess with her.
*I finally made it! My tweets will be in the Library of Congress. Someday my grandchildren will read what I had for breakfast on Tuesday.
*Etsy Love: Nancy Drew Scrabble tile pendant from The Gilded Lily for you mystery fans.
Have a wonderful weekend!

The Hidden Staircase is my favorite Nancy Drew novel!
ReplyDeleteThe alot is so cute!! LOL! Just the laugh I needed today. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Alot. He's so cute! And, the bookmobiles are really neat. I recall checking out books from a bookmobile, once, but I have no idea where or when that occurred. It obviously wasn't a regular thing or I'm sure I'd remember the details. Funny about the couch. I've thought about doing that, but I can't fathom going so far as to tape books together and permanently ruin them, so I've never actually tried building with books. When my cousin was young and broke, he built a chair out of cardboard boxes (it was so cool!) and used a discarded steel water fountain as an end table.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was in Dartmouth last night and it was SNOWING! And not a little either. I want the spring weather back. We got spoiled with the weather from the other week. Today wasn't so bad, but then it was supposed to go down to like minus 1 tonight.
ReplyDeleteAlot is one of my pet peeves! I see it a lot of places. I think it was second grade that I learned alot is not a word. It's a lot people, yes that's right, 2 words.
