There are some fat bumble bees buzzing around here. Must be a good sign. Everything is blooming. Unfortunately there is a layer of pollen on every surface. Achoo!

*From Harper Perennial: Summer is Short. Read a Story.

*You have got to see these book themed cakes from Cake Wrecks!

*JD Salinger to sue "sequel" 60 Years Later: Coming Through the Rye. Hmmm.

*Google to sell e-books. Whatcha gonna do about it Amazon?

* After Austenbook, we find a Twitter version of Pride & Prejudice. Somehow they both seem fitting.

*Dudes and book clubs, not just for chicks anymore.

*Marilynne Robinson wins Orange Prize for Home.

*Harlequin covers as art exhibition. Click on the gallery. I don't know whether my favorite is the brooding Mountie or the guy with a rocket in his pocket.

*Talk about celebrity gossip! Cassandra about Jane, "She knows what she did."

*Etsy Love: Cute pendant from A Girl From the Ville, Books, Books, Books.

Hope you all enjoy some nice allergy free weather this weekend!

  10. Boo to Kanye, hurray to cake. I want to see some more British kids books cakes though (although I love The Poky Little Puppy cake without even having read it).
