Friday Bookish Buzz: For All You Mothers Out There

...and for those of you aren't mothers too. I don't want to leave you out. This week strawberries were on sale and although local strawberries are months away, I couldn't resist a deal. And they were goooood! I made this Strawberry Tart. It was delicious. The bottom is like a cookie so it's tough to cut but worth it. Maybe you'll make one too this weekend?

*Private becomes a Web series.

*The Kindle DX is targeted at newspaper readers as well as students. The students I can see but for newspapers- is it cost effective?

*Lots of buzz about Elizabeth Edwards memoir Resilience. Let's be honest, people want to read about the affair.

*Conspiracy theory: maybe she started the swine flu. Mwahahaha! Probably not, but that was some amazing timing.

*Don't be a book snob. Can literary fiction learn from Dan Brown?

*J.K. Rowling, a portrait in Legos.

*A new approach to looking at Darwin's Origin of the Species.

*I hadn't heard of Leacock's book but now I want to read it!

*Etsy Love: These Octopus Reading stickers from BoyGirlParty are so cute!

Have a Happy Mother's Day this Sunday! Or a fabulous May weekend! Enjoy!

And that tart - ohhh it looks delish! I cannot wait for berry season, I want to go picking and fill a ton of flats for preserves.
