Friday Bookish Buzz: After the Foolishness

I needed to get my sno bootz out on Monday, since Mother Nature decided to play an early April Fools joke and give us a snowstorm. Luckily, it's all melting rather quickly. Enough of that stuff! Did you get fooled this week?

*Good news! An independent bookstore success story.

*They don't sound like thrilling reads but I'm sure the library is glad to have them back.

*Twiterature. Reading for those with short attention spans.

*Basketball and reading? I'd be the one with a book! The Chicago Bulls promote green reading.

*Oddest book title is kinda cheesy.

*"Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks. Need I say more?

*This item makes me think of Alien: the movie. If you only click one link on this page, CLICK THIS ONE. It is worth it.

*In case you missed it, Shelf Awareness did some foolin' on April 1st.

*Like working at Tim Horton's isn't tough enough. I wonder if he was worried about scalding.

*Etsy Love: I'm sure some of you can relate to the lady in this print "Book Love" by Marmee Craft. Or from the same shop, Owlet Bookplates. Too cute!

Hope you have a sunny weekend!

  2. I luckily didn't get fooled this April. That's not to say the kids at work didn't try, but I was too clever this year.

    Have a good weekend!

  4. I'm so sorry I haven't been around your blog for a long time. I haven't been blogging much myself, but I just wanted to drop by and say hi, wish you a good weekend and a nice Easter (if you celebrate that) and apologize for being scarce.

I am finishing my Master thesis and this takes up most of my time. Hopefully, by the end of May, I will be able to blog more and participate more around the blogosphere.

I am still reviewing books from time to time on my blog, but I am not really active.

I don't expect you to come running visiting and commenting, I just wanted to let you know that I am very much alive and I miss reading and commenting on your blog very much.

This is a personal message written to all the blogowner, whose delightful blogs I visit on a regular basis, but it has been copy/pasted. So if you find it on other blogger's blogs, that is why.

I look very much forward to be active again - and apologize once again for not being active the past month and not being able to be active for another month or two.

    Louise,

I thought those rare books actually sounded pretty interesting. So cool that they caught the criminals! It's nice when the good guys win!!!

  12. Yikes! The mommy-baby snuggie freaks me the heck out. Have you heard of pantalaine.com? They feature some other freaky "plural clothes".
