F.F. Bookish Buzz and I Suck at Challenges Reminder

Just a little reminder for all the Slackers and 12-Steppers, February 1st is the cut off date to join The "I Suck at Challenges" Challenge. I have a list of people but there are some who haven't left a link of their lists. I also have a few who commented but I'm not sure if they are joining or not. If you signed up, just have a quick look to make sure you left a link. Thanks!

*In case you missed it, this article caused some discussion amongst bloggers this week: Publishing, self-publishing and e-publishing. There is also this article from The New York Times.

*Speaking of e-books...Just when they get you hooked, they up the price.

*I remember this on Twitter when Neil Gaiman won the Newbury. te-he. He also has more big news for The Graveyard Book.

*Not only are lovers of handmade toys upset by the new CPSIA laws in the US but librarians are mad too!

*The next Bookworm's Carnival's deadline is February 13, hosted by Bluestocking Society. This month's theme: Books into Movies.

*Etsy Love: Reading Is Cool by Dazey Chic. There is also a girl version.

Oh, and watch for this week's Weekly Geek. It was my turn to post a topic. :) Have a great weekend! Pin It

  1. I can't wait to find out your topic for Weekly Geeks!

Why did you have to tell about the Etsy link? Now I have to shop there! =)

    Have a great weekend!

  2. I suck at all challenges.

Isn't that crazy about the library books? Unintended consequences indeed.

Looking forward to seeing what you dreamed up for Weekly Geek! (I lurk)

  3. Wow I'd be mad too about the price gouging on books. I'd hope for much more affording e-books if i was going to buy a kindle.

And that is the height of ridiculousness to ban children's books from libraries. Someone tell them what it means to overdue it!
