There was no Bookish Buzz last week because I was in the Big City shopping my butt off. It was quite successful! I'm done like dinner. How is your shopping coming?*Chris@Stuff as Dreams are Made On (aka Other Chris) is hosting the Dewey's Books Reading Challenge in memory of Dewey. It sounds like a good one.
*An original copy of Anne of Green Gables sells for $8125.
*Canada Reads 2009 books announced.
*This is cute: Pride & Prejudice in Facebook format.
*I've been getting emails for Revolutionary Road a movie based on the book of the same name by Richard Yates. I haven't read it but it sounds intriguing. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet (Titanic).
*WOW! Women on Writing: you can download their gift guide here. Lots of drool worthy stuff. (I love the Room Without Books... mug).
*100 Classic e-books for Nintendo DS! I like this idea.
*Okay, this is just bizarre: seeing red?
*Etsy Love: Love this button from Message On a Button. I'm often in love with fictional characters myself. And this pendant from Archipelago Arts cracks me up!
I just read Revolutionary Road and loved every last word of it. You must read it before seeing the movie. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to add it to Mount TBR.
ReplyDeleteYou find the best Etsy stuff! I've got to have both of those :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Women on Writing link - I've never seen that site before and it is great.
ReplyDeleteP&P for facebook was very clever.
ReplyDeleteI agree, do add Revolutionary Road to your pile. It is wonderful.
The facebook feed was HILARIOUS. I'm going to link to that now.
ReplyDeleteAnd red ink, seriously? OMG I must be completely screwed up, since that's how my papers all came back in high school and college.
Kim L- The red ink: maybe that explains all the road rage lol!
