I swear, every year it happens. I have the flu. I've had it since Sunday through the holiday parties and Santa's visit. I haven't been much fun to be around for my hubby and child. Poor guys. Hopefully, I'll kick it soon. Usually, I'm getting over being sick during the holidays but this year I had to have the worst flu I've had in years smack dab in the middle of it. Ugh!
I did get some good books from my better half:
- Lost in Austen by Emma Webster. I've been reading this with my feverish eyes. It's a lot of fun. I'm also choosing this as my other Mini-Austen Challenge pick.
- Northanger Abbey, Lady Susan, The Watsons, Sanditon by Jane Austen.
- Lesley Castle by Jane Austen. Yes, I'm on an Austen kick.
- I am Legend by Richard Matheson. I'm curious.
I am so sorry to hear you've been sick, Chris. I look forward to reading what you think of I Am Legend. I'm considering reading that one someday.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you are much better soon. I'm curious about I am Legend too. I didn't realize it was a book until last week. I got $75 in B&N gift cards, so with that and My Points gift cards I'm covered for a while. Yahoo! However, my goal in 2008 is to finish the books on my shelves and not to buy so many. Good luck with that, huh?
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better really soon!
ReplyDeleteI can't begin to tell you how many years, when my kids were young, that I was sick over Christmas! I thought it would never end! The good news is: one day it does!!
You're immune system probably crashed because of all the stress of the holiday season. I sure hope you get better soon!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon! I think you will love "I Am Legend", my son is reading it right now and he loves it.
ReplyDeleteWooo! Great books you got (I'm curious about I Am Legend, too). Sorry to hear you've been sick, but I can relate. I started feeling bad Friday and I'm still fighting it (sinusitis).
ReplyDeleteI was sensing a trend but the last one threw me off. ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you kick it quick!
Thanks guys. I kicked the fever today, now to get rid of the hacking cough and clogged sinuses.
ReplyDeleteOne down & two to go? Hope you feel better soon! I hear PBS will be running new versions of the Austen novels next year.
