Today’s question comes from Conspiracy-Girl:
I’m still relatively new to this meme so I’m not sure if this has been asked yet, but I’m curious how many of us write notes in our books. Are you a Footprint Leaver or a Preservationist?

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

I'm a preservationist. I can't stand the thought of marking up my books, especially if they're new. The only thing I will do is write my name (in pencil) on the first page, but only if it's a book I'm lending out.

  1. And even writing your name inside isn't enough to ensure you'll get the book back. :-S

  2. True enough. I have books floating around out there somewhere that I hope will make it home someday.

  3. I posted the details of the advent calendar now. :)

  4. Great minds think alike - I'm definitely a preservationist too :)

    Happy Reading!!!

  5. I never write in books. I don't even crease the spine. Most of my books look the same as they did on the bookstore shelf. Except ones I've let my mother-in-law borrow. Spine-creaser! Coffee-spiller!

  6. So many preservationists! Yay!

  7. Me again. Are you interested in a day for the advent calendar?

  8. I write a BookCrossing ID in the cover and that's about it. Happy BTT.

  9. ohhh nooo, I'd never write in a book!.. well.. unless it's a journal heh.
