Even though it's cold and brown outside, this is the first full day of Spring. Back when I had a house, I'd plant bulbs in the Fall. Sometimes I'd forget what I'd planted which lead to nice surprises in the Spring. This season I don't have a garden. It makes me a little sad. I enjoyed going outside and watcing the little green leaves pushing themselves up through the frozen soil.
This Fall, when I'm in my new house, I'm going to start from scratch and plant lots of bulbs. It's something I'm really looking forward to.
Lovely!!! I can't wait for my bulbs to bloom!

ReplyDeleteYour beautiful blooms have me wanting to "spring" forward. Love them.

Flowers, flowers. Don't you wish that bulbs would last forever?
ReplyDeleteI just got back from hiking...and spring is definitely in the air!
ReplyDeleteIt's almost that time again.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful! I don't have much here in the way of greeneries, but my small garden looks lovely . . by the way . . . I love your quote today. You might be interested in reading the book (since it appears that you LIKE reading) "A Pillar of Iron" by Taylor Caldwell
ReplyDeleteIt is historical fiction about Marcus Tullius Cicero if I'm not mistaken. It's been years since I've read it, but it is still on my shelf. Pages are yellow, but still there.
I get a different quote everyday but I might have to keep that one around. Reading and gardening- my favorite hobbies.
ReplyDeleteGrrrr, You could at least wait for some weeks. LoL.
ReplyDeletePS. This week I have one on both my 2 blogs
Those are lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteI need to get some bulbs in. My problem is the gophers. They eat them as fast as I plant them!
ReplyDeleteLuckily we don't have gophers, but squirrels and deer love the bulbs. Rabbits eat the tops off of the flowers. We have a dog so she helps to scare them away.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics!
